The Basic Support Program
Two 60-minute sessions with Rebecca per week
This Option is Best if You:
-Want to raise your test grades by one or two letters.
-Are motivated and organized.
**(Also appropriate for homeschoolers who feel confident with math and are up to grade level, who would use this program as a replacement for a classroom course.)
What Your Issues Tend to Be:
Your grades are OK, but you’re still experiencing some math anxiety and/or feeling like you don’t understand the material as much as you’d like.
(OR—your grades are good, but you’re spending hours and hours deliberating over your homework every night.)
You aren’t always connecting with your math teacher or your math curriculum—sometimes what’s happening in class doesn’t make sense.
There are some lingering emotional issues with math, and you don’t always feel confident.
There are some gaps in your understanding of what you were supposed to learn last year, the year before, or even farther back, which need to be addressed so you can put all of the pieces together.
Sometimes math is a source of anxiety.
You don’t feel like you love math right now.
Math is not always fun.
What You Need Most Right Now:
-Personalized instruction from someone who will explain the material in a way that really clicks for you.
-A safe place to get your questions answered.
-Time to explore the concepts more deeply so you feel like, “I really get this!”
-Immediate feedback on your work, so you don’t practice incorrect techniques.
-Time to fill in gaps from the past, keep up with the present material, and preview what’s coming up, so you feel prepared for it.
-Customized help so you can master new material, gain more confidence in your ability to solve problems independently, and raise your grade.
